Anna Tyberg is the current co-chair of Democrats Abroad France in Montpellier. She has been a member of Democrats Abroad since 2018, and has held positions of leadership for four years of her time as a member.
She has been passionate about politics for most of her life, recalling her first political memory to be when past American President Nixon had been impeached, and class at a school in Los Angeles, California was interviewed by the press.
Her friend at the time supported Nixon, which she was baffled by. Since then, she has made an effort to stay updated on politics and officially got involved in political endeavors in 2007.
Anna and her husband decided in 2008 that they would move out of the United States and abroad to Europe for their retirement. So, when her husband retired from his work as a medical researcher, they moved to London, in the UK.
She joined Democrats Abroad there, but the locations of events made active participation in the London group difficult. Later on, Anna and her husband moved to Montpellier, and she joined the day the Democrats Abroad Montpellier branch was founded.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, specifically within the historical and fiction genres. She also loves going to the beach, which is conveniently located close to Montpellier. Addtionally, she enjoys biking, although she believes that, with the small size of the city, walking is often easier.
She is passionate about current politics, having been particularly focused on the outcome and progression of the 2024 American Presidential election. Additionally, she is very passionate about spending time with her family and friends, travel, and her cats, if she still had them.
Anna is enthusiastic about her work with Democrats Abroad and their cause, and plans to continue working with them and supporting their cause for quite a while.

Anna Tyberg est actuellement co-présidente des Democrats Abroad France à Montpellier. Elle est membre des Democrats Abroad depuis 2018 et a occupé des postes de responsabilité pendant quatre de ses années en tant que membre.
Elle s’intéresse à la politique depuis la majeure partie de sa vie, se souvenant que son premier souvenir politique remonte à l’époque où l’ancien président américain Nixon avait été destitué, et où sa classe, dans une école à Los Angeles, Californie, avait été interviewée par la presse. En 2008, Anna et son mari ont décidé de quitter les États-Unis et de s’installer en Europe pour leur retraite. Ainsi, lorsque son mari a pris sa retraite de son travail en tant que chercheur médical, ils ont déménagé à Londres, au Royaume-Uni.
Elle a rejoint les Democrats Abroad là-bas, mais la localisation des événements rendait sa participation active au groupe londonien difficile. Plus tard, Anna et son mari ont déménagé à Montpellier, et elle a rejoint le jour même de la fondation de la branche des Democrats Abroad à Montpellier.
Pendant son temps libre, elle aime lire, en particulier dans les genres historique et fiction. Elle adore aussi aller à la plage, qui se trouve à proximité de Montpellier. De plus, elle aime faire du vélo, bien qu’elle pense que, vu la petite taille de la ville, marcher est souvent plus pratique.
Elle est passionnée par la politique actuelle, en particulier par les résultats et l’évolution de l’élection présidentielle américaine de 2024. De plus, elle tient beaucoup à passer du temps avec sa famille et ses amis, à voyager et à ses chats, si elle en avait encore.
Anna est enthousiaste à l’idée de travailler avec les Democrats Abroad et de soutenir leur cause, et elle prévoit de continuer à s’investir avec eux et à soutenir cette cause encore longtemps
